It's Your Turn
to Be Heard.
Present, not polished. Real conversations for Ward 5 on safety, taxes, and infrastructure.

A Neighbour Who Listens. A Leader Who Shows Up.
My daughter took her first steps on a path by the lake. Her fingers gripped mine so tight I could feel her heartbeat through them. She wobbled. She fell. She laughed like it was the funniest thing that had ever happened to her. And she reached right back up for my hand and tried again.
I remember standing there thinking: I would do anything to keep this place safe for her.
That path, that lake, the daycare where I hand her off every morning, the community center gym down the road: that's Ward 5. That's not a district on a map to me. It's the ground my daughter is learning to walk on.
I've Done This Work Before, Just Without a Vote.
This isn't just personal. It's something I already do for a living. I've worked inside city halls across the GTA, not as a politician, but as the person in the room making sure public infrastructure actually gets built right, on budget, for the people who'll use it. Different municipalities, different councils, same job: sit with people whose lives get disrupted by municipal initiatives, a resident whose park is torn up, a neighbour who lost the parking spot they'd used for years, and find a way through it together.
Not long ago, one of those conversations turned into a real conflict: a group that had been part of a project from the very beginning felt pushed aside and forgotten. I didn't send them a memo. I sat down with them, heard them out, and worked with the design team until we found a solution that actually respected what they needed. It took time. It was worth it.
And it's not only my day job. As an appointed volunteer member of Oshawa's Accessibility Advisory Committee, I've sat in the room reviewing real development plans, pushing for the curb ramps and sidewalk widths that decide whether a stroller, a wheelchair, or a walker can actually get through.
I've already been doing this work. I just haven't had the vote yet.
Focused on what Ward 5 is already talking about.
Not a pre-written platform: three real conversations happening on Ward 5 doorsteps right now.
Safety & Response
Real answers on addiction response, homelessness, and police presence in Ward 5, not just enforcement.
Taxes & Accountability
Taxes keep rising, and residents deserve to know where that money goes. I've spent years preparing the budget estimates that go into decisions like this, and tracking spending against those budgets to make sure public money is used the way it was promised. I know where responsible spending actually starts: not after the money's spent, but in how the budget gets built in the first place.
Fixing What's Falling Apart
Roads, sidewalks, and lighting that Ward 5 has waited too long for.
Listening. Respect. Results.
Listening before speaking
Community concerns should guide local decisions, not the other way around.
Respecting every tax dollar
Public money should be managed with discipline and transparency.
Following through
Residents deserve action, not just promises.
